First tip for getting the best from the V30, please make sure you have the latest software!
Check that you have the latest update client program version, if not go to www.autoboss.net to download it from the V30 download section.

You will need your serial number and password, if you do not have this start up the V30 and select "version" from the start screen, this will then show you the serial number and password.

Insert the V30 SD card into the supplied card reader and plug into a USB port on your PC.
Start the V30 update client from the desktop shortcut and enter your serial number and password, the client program will then download the vehicle list and highlight in red the software versions that need updating.

Tick the check boxes next to the versions that require updating and select "update".

    Done!

I also find that if you only put the ignition on just before going in to the system you want you get less communications errors

i have found myself working on alot of cars that are not covered by autoboss software, when are we going to start seeing software for the likes of Ferrafi, Aston Martin and Bentley?

HI, Ferrari and Aston unlikely to be seen on any aftermarket tool as not enough demand to make it worth the investment in OE tools alone. Ferrari SD3 is currently approx £22500!

Bentley has a better chance as later vehicles mostly VAG based and the tool used is the same so Autoboss already have it, plus they are much more common.
