Hi. I have a problem with entering a new injector code. The vehicle is a 2008 Mitsubishi L200. I have been using the 30 digit code of the top of the injector but it keeps telling me this is incorrect. It is still showing the old no in the ecu. Do i need to clear this and if sh how. Thanks Ian.

Hi entering new 30 digit code should overide old injector no need to clear. Let ecu completely time out approx 30 sec(until odometer disappears on meter) then try again. This can happen with OE tool.

L200 use the same fuel system denso so you can use them for testing L200 function also. I tried both shogun & l200 with v30 but no use. Had to use o.e tool.

Injector coding provides the vehicles ECU with the flow characteristics of each injector so it can balance the supplied/required fueling to balance the engine.

Most systems are moving towards classified injectors whereby they are graded, IE 1, 2, 3 or 4.

Replacement is simply a case of replacing like for like with no coding needed.

Engineer is to check these coding operations next week when they return from the holiday.
